North Point peninsula native Evering H. Spivey died Oct. 24 at his home in Chambersburg, Pa., of cancer. He was 91 and was known as “Biggie” to family and friends.
{reg}Born in Edgemere to the late Logan O. and Ann M. Spivey, he was one of 12 children. He worked at Bethlehem Steel for 33 years.
He enjoyed crabbing and spending time with family.
Helen S. Spivey, his wife of 77 years, survives him, along with daughter Letitia F. Spivey Anzick, sister Shirley D. Spivey, two grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Ten siblings preceded him in death.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church in Chambersburg followed by burial at the church cemetery.
