A graveside service will be held for Mary Jane Hardin, Thursday, June 6, at 1 p.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery, 7401 German Hill Road, following services at 10 a.m. at Southern Calvert Baptist Church, 12140 H.G. Trueman Road in Lusby, Md.
The former Dundalk resident died June 2 at the age of 80. She lived in Lusby.
{reg}Born in Royer, Pa., to the late Roy and Carrie Evans, she graduated from Williamsburg High School in 1952 and married Sherman Lawson Hardin in 1957. He died in 2010.
She worked for the Social Security Administration as a machine operator for 34 years and retired in 1988.
She was an active member of the Southern Calvert Baptist Church and served as a nursery provider at the church for several years.
Children Charlotte McKinney, Jo Ann Church, Jane Burnham, Sherman Lee Hardin and Eleanor Wood, siblings Roy W. Evans and Harry Evans, 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild survive her.
Son John Evans and brother Homer Evans preceded her in death.
