A memorial service for David Price Jr. will be held Friday, June 14, at 7 p.m. at Inverness Presbyterian Church, 7909 Wise Ave.
The World War II veteran and former Wise Avenue resident died May 7 in Eden, Md., where he lived in retirement. He was 86.
{reg}He served in the Pacific as a U.S. Navy gunner aboard a U.S. Merchant Marine ship.
He owned and operated Dave’s Barber Shop and Dave’s Marina in Baltimore for many years.
A graduate of the Baltimore School of the Bible, he served as an elder and Sunday school superintendent at Inverness Presbyterian Church.
Marie Price, his wife of 64 years, daughters Lisa Marie McShane and Paula A. Price, sister Florenda Weisenflue, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren survive him.
He was born in Luzerne County, Pa., to the late David and Florenda Price.
He was interred at St. Peter’s United Methodist Cemetery in Princess Anne, Md.{/reg}
