HOME INVASION TURNED VIOLENT. A woman living in the 3000 block of Dunglow Road opened her front door on May 24 at 12:05 p.m. to a man who reportedly forced his way into her home. The man allegedly sexually assaulted the victim, who was able to break free, flee and call 911. Matthew J. Kerns, 18, of the 6900 block of Mornington Road was arrested and charged with first-degree rape, first-degree burglary, trespassing and second-degree assault. He was being held without bail as of earlier this week.
DIDN’T FLEE QUITE FAR ENOUGH FROM THE SCENE. A man entered Mickey’s Gas Station in the 5200 block of North Point Boulevard on May 25 at 3:19 p.m. He reportedly approached the cashier and placed an energy drink on the counter, allegedly displaying a handgun tucked into his waistband, and demanded money. He reportedly then fled with both money from the register and the energy drink, entering a truck and driving away. Police responding to the incident located the suspect and a passenger in his vehicle a short distance away. James L. Sadler IV, 22, of the 900 block of Oakleigh Road was arrested and charged with armed robbery and theft. He was being held on $ 75,000 bail as of earlier this week. Bethany J. McVey, 19, of the 8200 block of Millers Island Road, was also arrested and was charged with armed robbery and theft. She was being held on $ 25,000 bail as of earlier this week.
SUSPECT STILL AT LARGE IN THIS ROBBERY. An employee of the 7-Eleven store in the 7200 block of E. Baltimore Street was outside the store sweeping the sidewalk in May 27 at 3:59 a.m. when approached by a man who displayed a gun. The suspect ordered the employee back into the store and demanded money from the register. The man then fled on foot. He is described as a black male about six feet tall.
ONE WAY TO PROVIDE A GETAWAY VEHICLE. Someone gained entrance to the Sparrows Point Country Club’s maintenance shop through unknown means between 10:05 a.m. on May 25 and 5:45 a.m. on May 26. Radios and an all-terrain vehicle were reported taken.
SURE, THE JEWELRY. BUT A BOW? Someone entered a home in the 8100 block of Stratman Road on May 25 between 5:40 and 8:50 p.m. through an unlocked rear window. Reported missing were jewelry, purses, a jewelry box and a bow.
