Viewing for Carmela Mary Markwordt will be held Friday, Jan. 17, from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk, 7110 Sollers Point Road, with a Mass of Christian burial celebrated Saturday, Jan. 18, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Roman Catholic Church, 6420 E. Pratt St. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery.
{reg}The former Eastwood resident died Jan. 11 in Columbia, Md., at the age of 85. She had lived in Germantown for two years.
Born in Highlandtown to Sabatino and Maria Tiburzi, she was one of 15 siblings. She graduated from Patterson High School.
Children Henry, Teresa, Joseph and Kevin, brothers Jimmy, Henry and Frank “Toots” Tiburzi, 15 grandchildren and two great-granchildren survive her.
Henry C. Markwordt Sr., her husband of 56 years, preceded her in death, along with children Linda and David, brothers Angelo, Mike, Joseph, John and Dominic and sister Ann, Lena and Yolanda.
