Longtime Dundalk resident and Korean War veteran John Charles Spatafore Jr. died June 12 at the age of 84.
{reg}He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the war and was an active member of the Dundalk Knights of Columbus. He worked as a supervisor at Bethlehem Steel for 34 years.
Wife Irene Spatafore, co-founder of Angels Supporting Your Troops, survives him, along with children Gregory, Martin and Valerie Spatafore, siblings Blanche, Jerry and Barry Spatafore, three grandchildren and one great-grandson.
He was the son of John and Carmella Spatafore. Sisters Mary, Theresa and Flora and brother Thomas also preceded him in death.
A Mass of Christian burial was held at Our Lady of Hope Roman Catholic Church, with interment at St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
