Viewing for Carrie Mae Miller will be held Sunday, Aug. 17, from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Duda-Ruck Funeral Home, 7922 Wise Ave., Her body will lie in state Monday, Aug. 18, at noon at Lodge Forest Methodist Church, 2715 Lodge Forest Drive, followed by a service at 1 p.m. Interment will be at Meadowridge Memorial Park.
{reg}The longtime Edgemere resident died Aug. 10 at Johns Hopkins Hospital of heart failure at the age of 89.
Born in Washington, D.C., she grew up in Edgemere and graduated from Sparrows Point High School in 1941. She resided in Holyoke, Mass., for 40 years before returning to the community.
She worked as a secretary for 45 years and attended Lodge Forest Methodist Church. She enjoyed knitting and gardening.
Sons James, George, William and John, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren survive her.
Brothers Merl, John, Richard and Robert Adams preceded her in death.
