Longtime Dundalk resident and World War II veteran Charles F. McMillen died Sept. 24 at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. He was 89.
{reg}Born and raised in Morgantown, W.Va. he served in the U.S. Army in the Pacific. He lived on Jasmine Road for over 50 years and worked at Raymond Metals.
He loved woodworking and was a very good cabinet maker, according to a family member. He also enjoyed spending time with his 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
Survivors also include children Eric J. McMillen, Jacquelyn A. Pettie, Richard A. McMillen, Charles “Frank” McMillen II, Kevin L. McMillen and Jeffrey R. McMillen and brother Leo McMillen.
Wife Betty L. McMillen and sisters Virginia Maloney and Dorothy McMillen preceded him death.
Interment at Holly Hill Memorial Gardens followed services at Duda-Ruck Funeral Home.{/reg}
