Colgate resident Carolyn J. Cooke died Jan. 13 at Woodlands Assisted Living at the age of 66.
{reg}“She was a loving wife, daughter, sister and friend,” a loved one said in eulogy.
Born to the late Archie and Dorothy Colvin, she grew up on Eastdale Road and graduated from Kenwood High School in 1966. She worked at Bell Atlantic and Verizon for 33 years, retiring in 2000.
She and the late Albert Cooke, her husband of 25 years, lived in Middle River. After his death in 1994, she returned to Colgate to care for her mother.
She collected dolls and toy bears. She was a member of the Pioneer Club and attended Edgemere Free Methodist Church.
Brother Charles Colvin survived her by five days. She leaves behind several extended family members.
Services at Duda-Ruck Funeral Home of Dundalk were followed by interment at Bel Air Memorial Gardens.
