A viewing for Susanne L. Brown will be held Wednesday, Oct. 17, from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at McComas Funeral Home, 1317 Cokesbury Road, followed by a Mass of Christian burial Thursday, Oct. 18, at 11 a.m. at St. Ignatius Roman Catholic Church, 533 E. Jarrettsville Road in Harford County.
{reg}The former Dundalk resident died Oct. 14 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center. She was 55 and lived in Bel Air.
She was born in Baltimore to the late Henry Conrad and Sharon Ruth Schroeder Stumpf and graduated from Dundalk High School. She earned a degree in journalism and creative writing from Towson University and a master’s in education from Notre Dame College.
She taught English at Southhampton Middle School in Bel Air and worked in the Harford County Public School system for 15 years.
“She always believed you should make the most of what you were given in life. She loved her family, horses and visiting Ocean City,” a loved one recalled.
Survivors include Michael A. Brown Sr., her husband of 31 years, son Michael A. Brown Jr., daughter Catherine H. Brown and sister Karen A. Robertson.
