Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of Robert “Bob” Hicks, Saturday, March 23, at 3 p.m. at Howard’s Pub, 7312 Holabird Ave.
{reg}The Dundalk native and musician died March 5 at Forsyth Memorial Hospital in Winston-Salem, N.C., from an infection that spread to his organs. He was 52.
Born and raised in St. Helena, he graduated from Patterson High School in 1978.
He was member of several bands from different musical traditions. “He will be remembered for his love of music, a unique and powerful voice which was longed for by many, and a dynamic sense of humor,” a loved one said. “Friends, family and the music community will miss him greatly.”
Survivors include sisters Becky Moore and Barbie Hicks.
Parents Floyd and Mary Hicks preceded him in death.{/reg}
