Dundalk resident and Korean War veteran Maurice T. Xenos Sr. died July 24 of heart failure at Stella Maris Hospice. He was 80 and had lived on Manor Road for 19 years.
{reg}Born in Baltimore, he graduated from high school and served in the U.S. Navy for four years. He was a member of the VFW, the American Legion and Sacred Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church.
He worked as an over-the-road truck driver for 45 years. In his retirement, he worked for 10 years at the North Point Public Library. He enjoyed sitting on his porch with his dog Shadow.
Angeline Ambrosi Xenos, his wife of 19 years, survives him, along with sons Nick and Maurice Xenos Jr., stepson James Arbella III, brother Adolph Paris, sister Katherine Mitchell, eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Mother Marie Paris and stepfather Adolph Paris preceded him in death.
Services were held at Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk, with interment at Gardens of Faith Memorial Gardens.{/reg}
