    Doris “Kay” Gamble Deane of Dundalk died Nov. 17 at Seasons Hospice of lung cancer at the age of 65. 
    {reg}The daughter of the late Billy Edmund Gamble and Martha Foltz was born in Fairmont, W.Va. She graduated from Patterson High School in 1967 and worked at Johns Hopkins Hospital for 40 years.
    She enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends.
    Son Norman Guido, brother Sherman Maust, sisters Nancy Carr and Patricia Wilson and two grandchildren survive her.
    Husband Dudley “Sonny” Deane preceded her in death.{/reg}

    Betty Lee Myers of Dundalk died Oct. 19 at the age of 70. She lived on Detroit Avenue for six years.
    {reg}She was a former employee at R & L Printing. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
    Children John, Barbara, Rodney and Karen, sister Donna, 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren survive her.
    Services were held at Kaczorowski Funeral Home. Interment was private.{/reg}

Charles David Dunlow

    Former Leslie Road resident and Vietnam veteran Charles David Dunlow died Nov. 19 of lung cancer in Belcamp, Md. He was 62.
    {reg}A native of Baltimore, he graduated from Dundalk High School and served in the U.S. Navy during the war. He owned and operated Daughters Roofing Company, which was named for his daughters Ginger K. Schenning, Lisa A. Haney, and Robin A. Stevens, who survive him.
    He enjoyed riding horses and never went anywhere without his German shepherd, according to a loved one.
    Survivors also include former wife Cheryl Haberkam, father Jim B. Dunlow, sister Linda J. Blackhurst and three grandsons. Mother Catherine Dunlow preceded him in death.

    Services for Deborah J. Gibson Lupton will be held Saturday, Dec. 13, at noon, at Inverness Presbyterian Church, 7909 Wise Ave.
    {reg}The lifelong Dundalk resident died Nov. 24 at her home at the age of 58.
    Born in Ohio, the daughter of Dorothy Gibson and the late Gaylord Gibson graduated from Patapsco High School in 1972.
    In her free time, she enjoyed making crafts. She loved the Ravens, animals and candy.
    Along with her mother, survivors include children Michael and Jennifer Dunphy, sisters Denise Posner and Barbara Nicholson, five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Sister Kelly Gibson preceded her in death, as well as her father.

    Former Dundalk resident Oscar J. Blanton died Oct. 28 at ManorCare in Towson surrounded by family. He was 87 and lived in Rosedale.
    {reg}“He loved Dundalk and all his neighbors there,” a family member said.
    The son of the late Oscar W. Blanton and Alta M. Grooms Blanton was born in West Union, Ohio, and attended West Union High School. He served in the U.S. Merchant Marine from 1941 to 1948 and served concurrently in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1942 to 1944.
    He worked for the Ohio State Highway Department, Bethlehem Steel Ship Yard and Leaseway Trucking. He attended Dundalk Church of the Nazarene and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters.
    His interests included Civil War history, the Ravens and Orioles, fishing and bowling. He loved spending time with his grandchildren.
    Survivors include son William Blanton, daughters Pamela Smith, Patricia Mitzel, Peggi Herritt and Lorrie Shannon, brother Ted Blanton, sisters Doris Goodwin, Helen Williams, Virginia Nelson and Barbara Bushong, 16 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
    Phyllis M. Goodnough Blanton, his wife of 57 years, preceded him in death, as did brothers William “Smokey” Blanton and David Blanton.

Louis J. Fackett

    Services for Louis J. Fackett will be held Thursday, Dec. 4, at 10 a.m. at Connelly Funeral Home, 7110 Sollers Point Road. Interment will follow at Meadowridge Memorial Park.   
    {reg}The lifelong Dundalk resident and World War II veteran died Nov. 30 at Gilchrist Hospice at the age of 93.
    He was born in Dundalk, attended St. Ritas School and served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the war.
    He worked at Bethlehem Steel for 42 years. He attended Our Lady of Hope Roman Catholic Church and had lived in Stanbrook for 56 years.
    He loved boating, bowling and watching the Ravens and Orioles.
    Dorothy Havran Fackett, his wife of 67 years, survives him, along with daughters Terry Quann, Karen Henley, Dotty Lou Richardson and Laura McCrea, brother Frank “Reds” Fackett, four grandsons and four great-grandchildren.

    Former Dundalk resident Mary Svec Detzel died Nov. 27 at Franklin Square Hospital of endometrial cancer. She was 62 and lived on Ravenwood Road in Rosedale.
   {reg}Born in Baltimore, she previously resided on Fairway in Dundalk and was a longtime member of St. Rita Roman Catholic Church. She earned bachelor of science and master of science degrees from Johns Hopkins University and worked at the Baltimore branch of Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond.
    Tobias Detzel III, her husband of 48 years, survives her. Parents Rose and Clement Svec preceded her in death.

    St. Helena resident Diana Williams died Nov. 27 at University of Maryland Medical Center of a stroke. She was 56 and lived on Baltimore Avenue.
    {reg}The daughter of Curtis Blankenship and the late Ruth Blankenship was born in Baltimore, grew up in Middle River and graduated from Kenwood High School. She worked as an office assistant at University Physicians Inc. for 17 years.
    She loved animals.
    Survivors include son Bill Williams Jr., brother Steven Blankenship, sister Brenda Patro and longtime companion Robert Bragg.
    Brother Curtis Blankenship Jr. preceded her in death.

Genevieve Bauer Holland

    Longtime Eastfield resident Genevieve Bauer Holland died Oct. 12 at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center due to a stroke. She was 92.
    {reg}Born and raised on South Wolfe Street in the German Town community of Baltimore, she and her seven siblings attended St. Michael’s Catholic School. She struggled with poor eyesight as a young girl and received her first pair of glasses from the Wilmer Institute at the age of 13, the year she entered a girls vocational school.
    After graduating, she began working as a seamstress at a tailor shop at the age of 18. In 1939, she began her career as a telephone operator at Chesapeake & Potomac Telephone Company.
    She married the late Joseph Holland in May 1953. They moved into a row house in Eastfield, the community she lived in for the rest of her life. The couple enjoyed traveling in the U.S. and Canada.
    “She was an extremely talented seamstress and made clothes for family and friends throughout her life,” a loved one said. “She was also an excellent cook and baker.” She loved making Christmas cookies, decorating for the holidays,  working in her vegetable and flower garden and solving word puzzles. 
    She belonged to a bowling league at Pinland and won several trophies. An active member of Our Lady of Hope Roman Catholic Church, she enjoyed taking church-sponored bus trips. She was also an Ateaze Senior Center member.
    Survivors include sisters Margaret Bauer and Regina Smolak and several extended family members.
    She is remembered by family and friends as a “second mother” to many nieces, nephews and neighborhood children.
    Along with her husband, brothers Gerard, Charles, John, Martin and Joseph preceded her in death.
    Services at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church were followed by interment at Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery.{/reg}

Jacob Repkorwich

    Lifelong Dundalk resident and World War II veteran Jacob Repkorwich died Oct. 10 of lung cancer at his home on Woodley Road, where he lived for 61 years. He was 89.
    {reg}Born and raised in Carnegie Plat in Turner Station, he played soccer and baseball at Sparrows Point High School. He served in the U.S. Navy Armed Guard during the war and belonged to the VFW and American Legion. “He was very proud of his service,” a loved one said.
    He retired from Bethlehem Steel and attended St. Rita Roman Catholic Church.        He married Frances Skwirut in 1948. The couple enjoyed traveling and visited Tahiti, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Cancun as well as several states. They also took yearly trips to Ocean City. She died in February 2008.
    An avid vegetable gardener, he had a large garden behind his house for more than 50 years. He also enjoyed swimming and jogging.
    Survivors include son Dennis Repkorwich, daughters Deborah Repkorwich and Pamela Repkorwich Blanton, sister Esther Dorowitch Dipetro, five grandchildren and, two step-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
    Along with his wife, he was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters.
    A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at St. Rita Catholic Church, with interment at Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery.{/reg}

    {reg}The Dundalk resident died Dec. 5 of natural causes at the age of 72.
    She graduated from Dundalk High School in 1959 and was a member of the Dundalk High School Alumni Association. She also belonged to the Red Hat Society and the Ateaze Senior Center and attended Christ Lutheran Church.
    She enjoyed scrapbooking, traveling and going to shows and plays.
    Sons William Scott Fogle and Robert Fogle Jr., former husband Robert Fogle Sr., brother William Lang Jr., sisters Elizabeth Geci, Norma DeLong and Sylvia Scharf and two grandsons survive her.
    She was born in Baltimore to the late Shirley Shaw Lang and William Lang Sr.

    Rachel Marie Powell Spencer died Nov. 18 at her home in Dundalk from complications of dementia and a stroke. She was 83 and had lived in the community for 54 years.
    {reg}The daughter of Milton and Lucy Powell was born and raised in Pleasant Valley, Md. She was a former employee of Riverview Nursing Home and attended Christ Lutheran Church. 
    Charles Spencer, her husband of 55 years, survives her, along with children Charles Spencer Jr., Bonnie Pessaro, Wanda McNulty and Marsha Venker, eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
    Brother Burnell Powell and sisters Martha, Mildred, Mary and Helen preceded her in death.
    Services were held at Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk, with interment at Lake View Memorial Gardens in Sykesville.

    {reg}Born in Baltimore, she graduated from St. Michael’s Business School in 1938 and worked at Hochschild Kohn department store for 25 years.
    She attended Sacred Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church and had lived in Dundalk for 62 years.
    Children Ronald Helinski, Pat Goldys and Kathy Vicarini survive her, as well as sisters Trudy Czapski, Marie Rindone and Janes Amend and five grandchildren. Husband Raymond Helinski preceded her in death.

    {reg}Born in Baltimore, he retired as a master plumber. He loved the holiday season  and hanging Christmas lights.
    He leaves behind sons William H. Milke Jr. and Richard H. Milke, daughter Donna L. Donaldson, brother John and four grandchildren.
    Sisters Marie and Anna, brother Charles, one great-granddaughter and his parents preceded him in death.

A Mass of Christian burial for Lillian Clara Beacham will be celebrated Thursday, Dec. 11, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 8420 Bel Air Road in Fullerton. Interment will follow at Oak Lawn Cemetery.
    {reg}The former Dundalk resident died Dec. 8 at the age of 95.
    A Baltimore native, she worked as a “Rosie the Riveter” at a defense plant in the city during World War II. She retired as a cafeteria worker for Baltimore County Public Schools.
    She and her late husband Charles G. Beacham bought a home in Logan Village in 1951, where she lived until 1995. She enjoyed reading, doing jigsaw puzzles and spending time with family.
    Survivors include daughters Claudia Wineke and Donna Gibson and three grandchildren.
    Along with her husband, brothers Adam, Joseph, Leon, Daniel and Thomas Plichta and sister Stella Palcher preceded her in death.{/reg}

Robert A. Law Sr.

Robert A. Law Sr. died Nov. 27 at his home in Edgemere of heart failure. He was 62 and lived in the community for 37 years.
    {reg}The son of the late Robert Orr Law and Mary Powers was born in Baltimore and raised in Fort Howard, where he lived for 25 years. He graduated from Sparrows Point High School in 1969.
    He worked at Signode Corporation from 1975 to 2007 and Tire Distributors from 2011 to 2014. He was also an avid commerical crabber, according to a loved one.
    He enjoyed fishing, spending time on the Chesapeake Bay, watching stock car racing and working on home improvement projects.
    He leaves behind Diana Lynn Law, his wife of 44 years, sons Bo and Joe Law, daughter Sherry Welling, sisters Toni Shifflet, Ruth Wetzel and Mary Jefferson and two grandchildren. Brother Leslie Law preceded him in death.

    Korean War veteran Joseph W. Michalski died of heart failure on Dec. 13 at his home in Edgemere, where he had lived since 1950. He was 85.
    {reg}The son of the late  Eva and Walter Michalski was born and raised in Elizabeth, N.J. He served in the U.S. Navy for four years and was a member of  Wells-McComas VFW Post 2678.
    He owned a home improvement business. In his younger years, he was a stock car driver, and he continued working on racing cars after his retirement.
    He attended St. Luke Roman Catholic Church.
    Sara A. Boddice Michalski, his wife of 65 years, survives him, along with sons Joseph W. Michalski Jr. and John A. Michalski, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
    Sisters Lottie Hriczko and Catherine Stavisky preceded him in death.

Longtime North Point Village resident Elsie Spessato died Dec. 7 from complications of dementia at the age of 77.
    {reg}A native of Puerto Rico, she moved to New York City in 1955 and had lived in Dundalk for over 50 years.
    She was a dedicated member of Jehovah’s Witnesses for over 44 years, according to a loved one. During this time, she served as a Pioneer for 28 years.
    Lawrence Spessato, her husband of 52 years, survives her, along with children Chris and Steve Martone and Larry and Darren Spessato, eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Son Eric Spessato preceded her in death.

Gilbert Andrew Mackey

    Dundalk native Gilbert Andrew Mackey died on Dec. 2 in Roanoke, Va., from complications following surgery. He was 78.
   {reg} Known as “Gil” to family and friends, the son of the late Amelia M. Oberg Mackey and John H. Mackey Sr. was born and raised in Dundalk. He graduated from Dundalk High School in 1954. He attended of St. Luke’s Evangelical Lutheran Church with his family as a boy and joined Dundalk Methodist Church as an adult.
    In high school, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve and later served in  the U.S. Army Reserve until 1961. He was a member of the Dundalk VFW.
    He moved to Joppatowne in 1962, where he became very active in civic organizations and community activities, according to a loved one.
    He worked at Crisfield Seafood as a teenager and later worked at Reed Avery Drugstore, Bethlehem Steel Shipyard, Revere Brass and Copper and Patapsco & Back River Railroad. He was last employed as an inspector at General Motors. He retired in 2001, the year he moved to Virginia.
    His favorite pastime was watching baseball and football. In his youth, he played baseball on a YMCA team.
    Survivors include daughter Victoria Davenport, siblings Patricia Quillen, Marian Andrews and John H. Mackey Jr., former wife Jeanne Wells and one grandson. Brother Harry Baker preceded him in death.
    Services were held at Simpson Funeral Home, with interment at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Roanoke.{/reg}
